Music Department Mission Statement and Guidelines

The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church desires to declare the glory and grace of our God by encouraging worship, joy and fellowship, and by contributing to the worship services, and other ministry programs, music performed with excellence and creativity that is biblically sound, spiritually uplifting, and worthy of the presence of a holy God.

To accomplish this mission, the Music ministry of First Baptist Church shall:

1. Strive to present excellence in Christian music in its services and concerts

2. Blend the best of traditional hymnody with the best of new hymns, songs and choruses.

3. Consider how to motivate worshippers in their worship activity.

4. Seek to maintain a strong spiritual sense of all participants.
